With cylinders being operated by applying oil pressure to cylinder in both directions, these may be of either rod ended or double rod ended type.

The various types of hydraulic cylinders are:

Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinders:

• Single acting hydraulic cylinders features oil pressure that is fed only on one side of cylinders (either during extension or retraction)
• When oil pressure is cut off, these cylinders return to normal position by spring/ external load/through force of gravity

Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinders:

• These Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are also known as multistage hydraulic cylinders/hydraulic cylinders for truck tipplers
• These cylinders are mainly used where space is restricted
• These cylinders are available in both double action as well as single action option
• These can be delivered in up to six stages depending on application and capacity
• These cylinders are designed as per customers' applications needs
